A timeless piece: the leather jacket

Whether or not it cost you a fortune to buy one, the leather jacket is a clothing piece that you cannot miss in your wardrobe. Easy to wear and versatile, it’s always a safe option to look cool.

How to wear it?

Well, it depends on the kind of leather jacket you have but generally, I really like to wear a black leather jacket with an olive green shirt, beige Chino pants, and black Derby shoes. I think it’s a supreme outfit that can be used both in a night out with friends and other casual events.

However, let’s look at three types of leather jackets and how to match them with other items.

  • Biker jacket

The biker jacket is one of the most popular leather jackets at the moment. It was introduced by the American brand Schott in the 1920s. Since then, new versions of leather jackets were designed. However, some prominent features like zip details are always present.

You can match it with a basic white T-shirt, dark grey skinny jeans and black Chelsea boots. Try it, and I can assure you will look like a perfect biker!

  • Aviator jacket

As the name might suggest, the Aviator jacket has its origins in the airforce. This jacket has changed some details by keeping its main features, such as the Shearling lining.

Your next ootd (outfit of the day) could be made of a brown Aviator jacket, burgundy sweater, straight leg blue jeans and dark brown combat shoes.

  • Bomber jacket

The bomber jacket appeared for the first time during the Second World War. Pilots used to wear a Shearling lined bomber jacket as it kept them warm.

Nowadays, there are several types of bomber jackets, and you can really pick up your favourite textile. From suede to smooth leather, you can design your own style.

I would suggest you wear a black bomber leather jacket with a grey hoodie, ripped faded light blue jeans and a pair of black leather Converse Chuck Taylor All Star.

Add a leather jacket to your wardrobe and create your own timeless style.
